The result is a standout Red Leicester with a vibrant orange colour, firm flaky bite and beautifully rounded character. Notes of toasted nuts and sweet caramel develop through maturation, giving a depth not found in younger cheeses. Rutland Red holds the distinction of being the only traditionally made, pasteurised Red Leicester in England — an exceptional centrepiece for cheeseboards, sandwiches or cooking.
