Our Farms
Our award-winning cheeses start with milk collected within 30 miles of Clawson Farms, ensuring freshness and quality.

From Farm to Fork: Since 1912
Our milk tankers don’t have to travel very far to collect the fresh milk required to produce our award-winning cheeses.
Located within 30 miles of Clawson Farms’ dairy, and spanning acres of lush, green, undulating pastures, our 30 member farms are where the magic of cheesemaking begins.
Our farmers not only passionately advocate for the welfare of their animals and the protection of their environment, but feel a strong connection to our cheesemaking heritage, and keeping alive the traditions that began in 1912 with our 11 founding members. Clawson Farms’ expertise spans generations, and the families of several of our founders continue to work alongside us to this day.

Protected Designation of Origin
Did you know that, by law, Blue Stilton® can only be made in the counties of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire? Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status is only granted to a select few food and drink products in Britain, setting out strict rules governing the places and ways they are made to ensure their ongoing authenticity, much in the same way the production of Champagne is directed in France.
We take our role as custodians of PDO Blue Stilton® very seriously. The unique flavour and characteristics of this cheese can only be achieved in our special corner of the world.
Meet the Farmers
Allow us to introduce you to some of our dedicated farmers. Farming is hard work 24/7, 365 days per year and we are so lucky at Clawson Farms to be supported by these champions, who demonstrate not only passion, but a desire to produce their milk sustainably, thinking about their cows, and their on-farm environmental commitment every step of the way.
