We’re proud to produce award-winning, artisanal British cheeses. With more than 100 years of craftsmanship and passion at our fingertips, we know that making exceptional cheese requires three key ingredients – tradition, time and taste.
We rely on the traditions of our member farmers, whose commitment to quality guarantees only the very best milk, produced in a way that’s mindful of the environment and animal welfare, reaches our cheesemakers.
Award-Winning Cheeses
Our skilled master graders and affineurs nurture and care for every single cheese, ensuring the Clawson Farms name is recognised as a sign of excellence. We’re delighted to have brought home many international awards.
In 2024, our PDO Blue Stilton® was awarded Supreme Champion at the International Cheese and Dairy Awards. In 2022, our Shropshire Blue also achieved this highly coveted prize. In 2024, our Aged Rutland Red® was awarded Best Territorial Cheese at the British Cheese Awards & Gold at the 2024 Global Cheese Awards.

Our Farms
The Clawson Farms story began in 1912, with 11 founding farmer members. Today, we’re a co-operative of 30 farms, all embedded in local communities within a 30-mile radius of our home near Melton Mowbray, in the heart of rural Leicestershire. Our co-operative members are extremely passionate about the role they play in one of Britain’s most treasured farm-to-fork stories.
Our Cheese
The Clawson Farms name is recognised as a sign of excellence, and we’re delighted to have brought many awards home to Leicestershire, putting the county on the foodie map.
Our delicious cheeses play an important part in the food history of Britain – from traditionally aged territorials ingrained with history, to characterful, contemporary wax truckles, that bring the ‘wow factor’ to grazing platters and cheeseboards.

Our cheesemakers are amongst the most skilled in the industry, and we value their absolute commitment to crafting extraordinary, delicious cheeses, from traditional PDO Blue Stilton®, to innovative sweet and savoury blends. Our makers’ mastery of their craft is recognised internationally. Several Clawson Farms cheeses have been honoured with ‘best in the world’ titles.
