Hours: Part Time, Monday to Friday, 06:30am to 1:00pm – 30 hours per week

We are now seeking an experienced Catering Assistant, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.
What you’ll do
Working with the established Catering Team on site at Long Clawson, you will assist the Catering Manager in delivering fresh and healthy breakfast and lunch options for the site staff and visitors

What are we looking for?
- Culinary Competence: Basic hands-on experience preparing and serving quality breakfast and lunch options in a kitchen environment, with an understanding of nutrition and portion control.
- Menu understanding: Ability to refer to the daily menu, follow recipes to create dishes for service
- Stock management; stock rotation when putting away deliveries, informing the chef manager when stock is running low.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Working knowledge of food hygiene legislation and kitchen safety standards (e.g., Level 1 or 2 Food Safety certificate), with experience applying them in practice.
- Customer Service Orientation: Proven ability to interact positively with customers, respond to feedback, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment.
- Organisational Skills: Capable of good time management, clocking in and out, finishing tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Systems Familiarity: Comfortable using kitchen till systems and ordering platforms.
