Salary: £16.34 per hour + Great Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday – 5:00pm to 1:00am

What you’ll do
Hygiene is hugely important to us and our customers – our hygiene team start work just as our factory stops so that they can get all our production areas clean and ready for the next shift. We need you to demonstrate our Values by:
Integrity
- Manage the hygiene team, providing support and guidance, conducting Performance Development Reviews, disciplinary issues, and ensuring training plans are up to date
- Implement Corrective Actions to encourage best practice
- Liaise with the Engineering Department to sign off on hygiene standards

- Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards, and Company Rules/Procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Assist with delivery of training for the team, as and when required
- Reporting of issues as they arise, which may impact on product quality, Production/Hygiene activities, and environmental issues
Togetherness
- Conduct daily team briefings
- Ensure a robust system of handovers with the production team is maintained by completing handovers at the beginning and end of each shift
Innovation
- Encourage teamwork and develop new improved ways of working within your team
- Work closely with the departmental management team in order to make improvements and promote the Hygiene Department within the company
- Create and amend CIC’s
Passion
- Strive to improve productivity and cost reduction through control of waste and losses, e.g. water, detergents, and time by working efficiently
- Daily auditing of machinery pre and post clean to ensure that the correct standards have been achieved
- Deep cleaning of relevant areas following the cleaning schedule, as and when required
Who you are
- A hardworking individual who thrives under pressure and stays focused on delivering excellent results.
- Experienced in food manufacturing (or a similar industry) is a big plus!
- Strong knowledge of allergen awareness, food safety, and Health & Safety practices—your expertise helps ensure top standards.
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, but we’re happy to support your development if you’re keen to achieve it.
- Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) and/or COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) is a bonus, showing you’re ready to contribute to a safe and efficient environment.
- Good level of numeracy & literacy to carry out area reporting activities
- Experience of managing a team.
- Basic IT skills including Excel, word and email.
