Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week – 8:30am to 5:00pm

We are looking for a Junior IT Technician to join our IT department, situated at our Head Office in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.
At Clawson, our IT department’s expertise and dedication ensure that business operates smoothly and without risk. You will support end users, with their IT systems, including hardware, software and network issues. You will also set up new users and install hardware and software.

- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and software / security update.
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer / laptop / Printers & network components

- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
- Support other departments and their external contractors with installation of non-standard IT equipment, e.g. productions systems, engineering etc
Passion
- New user setup & manage existing user accounts liaise with 2nd line support team
- Install & support non-standard software packages, liaising with external suppliers as needed
Innovation
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Configure & manage end user IT equipment – Laptop, PC, phones, Handheld terminals, all types of Printers
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
Integrity
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
- Keep an inventory record of the IT devices.
What are we looking for?
- A demonstrable interest in IT Systems
- Ideally some experience in an IT Support role
- A good level of education
- Good IT skills including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Ambitious, driven and passionate about making improvements.
