Hours: Full Time – Monday to Thursday 07:15 to 16:00, Friday 05:15 to 14:00

We are now seeking a QA/QC Operative to join the Clawson family at our site in Bottesford, the site is easily commutable from Nottingham, Melton Mowbray and Grantham, and the surrounding towns and villages. The role will ideally be suited to an individual used to working in a fast-moving multi-disciplined role. Due to the nature of the role and the requirements of the business, your flexibility to work additional hours, weekends and shifts during seasonal periods may be requested.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the QA Supervisor/ Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll be responsible for assuring the Quality and Integrity of our products.

- Practice continuous improvement within the department.
- Assist with development of systems and controls and paperwork reduction.
Passion
- Logging on and organization of production and ingredient samples for micro and chemistry evaluation.
- Hygienic sampling of incoming cheese and ingredients.
- Manage product retests.
We Care
- Carry out periodic environmental swabbing /auditing/and shelf-life sample evaluation.
- Inputting of data onto the QA / NAV systems.
- Co-ordinate and complete trace exercises where required.
- Assist in complaint and incident investigations.
Togetherness
- Work as part of a small Team/communicating with colleagues across all departments.
- Report any out of spec products/ingredients to your line manager.
Integrity
- Checking compliance of delivered and packed products to specifications.
- Perform 1st/last box checks/label verification/taste panelling.
- Perform calibration and verification checks on equipment i.e. metal detectors/scales/checkweighers.

- Have a good level of computer knowledge and computer systems.

- Have an eye for details- first time right approach to tasks.
